Paeonia 'Buckeye Belle' bloom is like a pompom or a ruffled underskirt, an almost complete ball of tiny rolled petals resting on the larger base petals in such a way that the light and shadow play around their edges. Changing the light breaks down the rich red, almost chocolate colour, of the bloom into different shades!
