Narcissus 'Fragrant Spring'

No spring garden is complete without a clump of cheery Daffodils to give that uplifting, spring is here feeling. Narcissus 'Fragrant Spring' promises to delight the senses with a sweet perfume and fully double blooms.  Each perfumed flower is framed by layers of pale primrose petals. A swirling clementine corona forms undulating ruffles, crimped and fluted like dainty Easter bonnets.   

This mid-season daffodil variety appears in April forming a clump of slender foliage graced with flower stems of up to 40cm. Narcissus 'Fragrant Spring' is a hybrid of the ever-popular cultivar 'Acropolis' and shares many features making it the perfect planting partner for its distinguished parent.  

Daffodils are long-lived bulbs which naturalise with ease. Being incredibly versatile, they’ll tolerate most soils and grow happily in any sunny or lightly shaded spot. Narcissus 'Fragrant Spring' shows excellent resistance to deer and rabbits but prove irresistible as a cut flower, so be sure to grow a few spares for a vase indoors.
